Managing Director

James has worked in financial and general business roles in Property Development, Telecommunications, factoring finance and Health & Social Care spanning over 40 years. James’s financial experience has been in financial control, financial operations management, ERP systems implementation, and management reporting.

Sumitha Siva

Accountant

Sumitha has extensive experience in managing finance functions, including preparation of management accounts, payroll, cash flow forecasting, VAT returns, and budgeting. She possesses a broad range of skills and expertise, developed and refined through her work with blue-chip multinationals as well as smaller organisations.

Dean Morgan

Business Development

Dean’s experience in Business Development and innovative approaches enables valuable business growth. Applying his expertise allows Halyard to support companies by overseeing marketing activities, fostering relationships and seeking opportunities.

Laura is currently pursuing her AAT Level 2 qualification in Accounting. She has accumulated two years of experience in her current bookkeeping role, alongside ten years of experience in administrative positions.

A Message From Our Founder

Having worked as an accounting professional and running his own businesses, James realised that people could be better served by the bookkeeping and accounting community. Having recently been involved in a large refit of a sailing club, James could see that construction businesses were being run on scant financial information primarily because they would rely only on financial information supplied annually to their accountants. With some experience in the factoring business, he understood that this carries significant risk for companies in this sector.

As a result, he decided to establish Halyard Business Services to help people in the construction industry run their businesses with a full financial picture of their situation and, therefore make better decisions. James believes that this should not come at a cost of defocusing on what each business owner does best which is running and growing their business.
